WILL WHITE SILK LAMP SHADE GO YELLOWISH WITH AGE?
I’m very fussy and like white to be white not cream or anything other than bright white and looking to buy a table lamp which has round shiny black base and would like a white shade to match black/white decor but concerned the white will not stay white and I am trying to decorate with quality items that will last me the rest of my life…
the black base matches the vase on my dining table and the pot plant pot…would like white lamp shade but not sure… the actual shade meant for the base is a ruffled grey/black silk… any experience with white silk appreciated, thanks.
Lamp shades are meant to last 3-5 years, not the rest of one’s life. Cooking grease, air pollution, and simple dust will turn it in 6-9 months.
