How can I remove a plastic shower neck – broken off in the pipe?
I foolishly used a plastic shower neck and it broke off in the shower pipe in the wall. I can’t get the threaded end out of the pipe now. Help!
You can try a couple of things. If you have a hacksaw blade that will fit inside of the broken neck cut 2-3 grooves in the broken piece. Doesn’t have to go all the way through. Then put a flat head screw driver in the groove and gently tap on the end of it(so the piece will turn to your left). This will force the broken piece around. They also make a retraction tool for this. can be bought at Home depot lowes etc. it is put inside the pipe and when you twist it it tightens and will back the broken piece out.
